Description bruno 2004-11-27 01:11:00 UTC
I can get my dual head work on xorg 6.8.x. I've tried all possible configuration
but the result remain the same: xorg failed to start.
My actual configuration:
Sony Vaio x505vp - Linux Fedora Core 3 w Xorg 6.8.1
I've got two problems:
1) I'm not able to specify a valid "MonitorLayout" (Ex. CRT, LFP):
xorg stops with any combination of MonitorLayout (only the default
works..)
2) In the logs, i read:
(II) I810(0): 2 display pipes available.
(II) I810(0): detected 3964 kB stolen memory.
(II) I810(0): I830CheckAvailableMemory: 444412 kB available
(II) I810(0): Checking Lid status enabled
(II) I810(0): Will attempt to tell the BIOS that there is 12288 kB VideoRAM
(WW) I810(0): Extended BIOS function 0x5f11 not supported.
(II) Loading sub module "int10"
(II) LoadModule: "int10"
(II) Reloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/linux/libint10.a
(II) I810(0): initializing int10
(WW) I810(0): Bad V_BIOS checksum
(II) I810(0): Primary V_BIOS segment is: 0xc000
(II) I810(0): VESA BIOS detected
(II) I810(0): VESA VBE Version 3.0
(II) I810(0): VESA VBE Total Mem: 12288 kB

What means "Extended BIOS function 0x5f11 not supported." ?
