[Problem]
X segfaults in xf86RandR13Pan() on boot. The trace shows repeated calls to this function.

[Original Report]
A few interesting things I've noticed while testing this:

1) I *can* select an Mwm or fluxbox session and get a GUI. X does not crash. None of the other available WMs I've tried work - KDE, XFwm, GNOME, Xfce.
2) If I log in using Mwm or fluxbox, open a shell, and run 'xrandr -q' X immediately crashes giving the same info in /var/crash and /var/log/Xorg.0.log
3) I logged in via ssh from another machine. A root shell session sometimes receives the following error message when X crashes: "X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication."
