Hi,

I use dispwin (from argyll) to set the VideoLUT. It is using the XRRSetCrtcGamma() function to do that. But if I switch from X to the console and back, those settings aren't restored, and I end up with a gamma curve of 1 in the VideoLUT.

If I recompile dispwin to use the XF86VidModeSetGammaRamp() function instead, or use xgamma that uses the XF86VidModeSetGamma() function, it does properly get restored.

I'm currently trying this with the xserver-xorg-core 2:1.5.99.902-1 package from Debian.

I don't have the problem anymore with 1.9.4
