Created attachment 22994 [details] [review] patch to make xmodmap work I cannot (properly) change the keyboard mapping with xmodmap. I've attached a patch which allows me to use xmodmap again. I have have no idea if this correct, but it works.
I'm pretty sure this patch is correct, but might need a little bit more work for OS X. I've put this into my tree, will do some more testing to make sure it's correct and put it in my next pull request. Thanks!
