This is very strange.  Support for chips with PCI IDs in the 0x06e0 - 0x06ef range was added way back in February of 2008 and was in version 2.1.8.  I don't know why the server didn't decide to use the nv driver for that device.  It would be interesting to see if the nv driver's probe routine was called at all, and whether a newer server with the libpciaccess rework fixes the problem.

Nobody is supporting xf86-video-nv and it will be going away at some point in the future. If your problem persists with nouveau or the proprietary driver provided by nVidia, please re-file accordingly. We apologize for the inconvenience.
