Description Patrick Cherry 2004-12-07 11:44:44 UTC
I'll submit a patch. Existing support for the Cherry Cymotion Master Xpress is
not sufficient for this (similar) keyboard.

I should have said that the two bugreport for the Cherry Cymotion Master Xpress are:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1715
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1575

has this patch already hit cvs (or a new release) or is it still in the works
and one has to apply it oneself?

Hi,

Not sure wether this is due to some changes within xorg or the kernel, however
my Cherry CyMotion Master Linux needs a slightly other patch. I'll attach a
"fixed" patch, the differences are for the Paste, Eject, Redo and the Key with
the K on it.

I also like to add that xkeyboard-config already has support for this keyboard
by a patch from me. That one didn't include all keys as not all were working
here (I'm using it via USB) and it also puts the keyboard under the name
"cymotionlinux". The bugreport for this is #3789.

Now I don't know how xkeyboard-config relates to Xorgs own xkb-stuff, but I
think there should be only 1 patch applied and only 1 configuration option for
the Cherry CyMotion Linux.

Is this patch merged to mainline?

Marking broken (status null/blank) bugs in xorg with no activity in a long time as fixed. Please reopen if you think it's necessary, but first do a search if a similar bug report is already filed and in a NEW/ASSIGNED state. These bugs do not currently show in most search results as they do not have any status.
