console output

Xorg crashes whenever the X server exits. I am using version 2.6.1 of the Intel driver.

The crash leaves the local monitor and keyboard in an unusable state, so I have to power cycle to get the system back up.

Could you try newer kernel like 2.6.29-rcX or at least 2.6.28?
It will also be good to try a newer intel version like 2.6.99.902.
Comment 4 Sam Morris 2009-03-26 04:18:13 UTC
I'm not seeing this with 2.6.29 and intel 2.6.1. Not sure which resolution to choose so I'll leave that to you.
Comment 5 Gordon Jin 2009-03-31 23:43:02 UTC
Since newer kernel works, I'm closing this. Thanks.
