You mean the error is when printing?
No, the error is only more clearly when printing, but you can also see the difference when zooming in. I have to correct me. Not the vertical bars are too thick. It is the other way around, the horizontal lines are too small. The stems are smaller than they should be, too.
I know that this comment is not really useful, but I'd like to point out that, unfortunately, this bug is still not fixed in the newest version of Poppler (FC15: 0.16.7-1.fc15). I would really appreciate if someone could try to fix this bug (unfortunately I'm not able to do so) because due to this bug I cannot use Evince/Okular to print sheet music created with Lilypond.
There were a couple of fixes in poppler 0.17.3 which should fix this problem - see http://poppler.freedesktop.org/releases.html
I'm closing this bug, please try to use a version newer than what madbiologist suggests and if the problem still happens please reopen the bug.
