Any reasons the compiler can't ship its own XML file?

Created attachment 98314 [details] [review] Git formatted patch for Genie source code This is mainly for syntax highlighters and development environments where the Vala compiler has not been installed. Genie is an alternative syntax for Vala so I think it was assumed text/x-genie would be handled in the same way as text/x-vala ( see https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12195 ). If it is better for the Vala compiler to carry its own XML of this mime-type then I will do that. Please confirm either way, thanks.
Also looks as though the original poster was trying to get this bug fixed ( https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=576141 ) at GtkSourceView
What's the policy with regard to source code formats? I'd like to make a similar proposal for Julia source files, so I wonder whether it would be accepted.
