Created attachment 24329 [details] dmesg Similar bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=492461 Might be related to: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20915 When issuing modeset=1 Xorg happens to be using 100% for while and then sits in the background while I get a blank screen. Repeated error gets logged: [drm:nv50_display_command] *ERROR* timeout: 0x610300 Xorg also seems to have difficulty parsing edid. I'm not sure which commit is responsible for this. Using plain 'insmod nouveau.ko' works great. I have attached logs so take a look :) Thanks.

Any ideas, am I doing something silly that nobody wants to reply? :p
I getting only once this error, when is card initiated: [drm] Creating i2c bus with index 3 allocated 1680x1050 fb: 0x45210000, bo ffff8801321343c0 [drm] LVDS-7: set mode 1680x1050 b [drm:nv50_display_command] *ERROR* timeout: 0x610300 = 0x80010081 [drm] Found PLL limits table version 0x21 but everything works good, no related problem
I grabbed few drm patches from http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/rpms/kernel/F-11/ and built kernel for Archlinux x86_64, modesetting is functioning now :) Everything seems to be working well, I'm using gallium3d atm, hopefully drm nouveau will merged in kernel 2.6.31.
