Description Benjamin Herrenschmidt 2004-12-17 01:04:52 UTC
With CVS HEAD as of about a week ago, running xmame with option -x11 2 or option
-x11 3 (Xv mode windowed or Xv mode full screen), the server dies when the game
starts putting it's first pitcure on screen. I didn't have a chance yet to check
if it's related to the new DMA/Xv code in the Radeon driver though, it could be
something else. mplayer/xine/vlc do work fine with Xv though.

First an introduction, I'm one of the xmame programmers. I myself have been
using a radeon for quite some time now in both 32 and 64 bit x86 machines and
xmame works fine in Xv mode these days. This could be due to chances on xmames
side but is most likely because the bug has been fixed in more rescent Xorg
releases, either way the bug is gone, closing.
