Freeze during tar unpacking

Twice I got GPU freezes during heavy disk operation (unpacking tar file and copying from USB), mouse moves but the rest is frozen and I can't switch to console.
This is with UXA and KMS without composite manager.

During copying I also see some letters corruptions, wrong letters are shown or the letters are somehow corrupted (but only some, most letters are ok) and when the copying stops and I for instance open new page in opera or redraw midnight commander (with ctrl+o) then the letters are ok again.

The kernel is 2.6.30-rc3 with
drm/i915: Enable ASLE if present
drm/i915: Unregister ACPI video driver when exiting
drm/i915: Register ACPI video even when not modesetting
drm/i915: fix transition to I915_TILING_NONE
drm/i915: Don't let an oops get triggered from irq ...
drm/i915: allow tiled front buffers on 965+

To reproduce this it may be required to open pages in opera during heavy disk copying. My opera version is 9.63 also it's easier to reproduce if I copy from local disk to usb disk

Here's screenshot http://kedge.wz.cz/img6.png when I stop copying and restart Opera the text is ok again.

Another freeze dump

Don't know if it's releated because I wan't copying anything but I'm appending it here.

Adjusting severity: crashes & hangs should be marked critical.
Comment 5 Eric Anholt 2009-05-12 16:01:09 UTC
Sweet, both of these logs look just like #21488.
