Description Jonathan Tellier 2009-05-13 09:24:21 UTC
A problem with farsight cache prevented me to receive video in calls in empathy. Deleting "~/.cache/farsight/codecs.video.x86_64.cache" solved my problem.

Currently, the cache saves us around 0.1s on my laptop and 0.4s on maemo.. So I guess we could as well kill the cache entirely..
Comment 2 Olivier Crête 2013-06-24 20:22:57 UTC
I'm keeping this open as a reminder. The grand plan is to re-do codec discovery and to only rely on the GStreamer cache. This will be required to properly support pre-encoded content (ie, encoding sources, like the Logitech C920).
