Description Stefan Dösinger 2009-05-21 06:14:35 UTC
Since updating my r500(radeon X1600 in an iMac) to jglisse's kernel and DDX I am seeing strange 2D and 3D drawing corruption. It seems as if two triangles forming a quad do not touch each other properly and a small diagonal line is visible. Sometimes a grid between many quads forming a window can be seen too. This happens with Compiz enabled, but also with pure 2D.

I am attaching a few screenshots from 3D apps however, since the issue is better visible there.

This is a screenshot of glxgears. Some 2D GUI elements are also visible. Compiz was disabled. If you look carefully, you can see the diagonal lines in the GUI elements of the top and bottom menu bar.

The triangular structure of the geometry is clearly visible here.

Versions used:
DDX: fba534017e581fcd9b9e49ba0b281fb500f576a7
Kernel: b1e6187f5ad3c8b836a68009006584337d914e99
Mesa: d7cc0eb47930d6c8ebfd18fefbe48fe8eec696a0
DRM: 1edb70f1b909d06f1c0ee7c9c794aec99454e488

This is a regression that occured when I switched from airlied's DDX+Kernel to jglisse's.
