Since kernel now has support for Euro and Dollar keys and HAL converts Acer's keys appropriately (since 2007, see commit here: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/hal-info/commit/?id=6b41960a556d9164b429f575e6e685800558278b ), the related section symbols/inet should also be updated. I would gladly provide a patch, but I have no idea where to get the appropriate numbers from. Perhaps Carlos would help?

The Euro and Dollar keycodes produced by the kernel are > 255, and X cannot currently handle that, until bug 11227 is fixed.
