This problem is reported in Debian bug #266542 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=266542&repeatmerged=no) It is related to the ongoing bug where spaces between words are lost (see Xprint bug #1112, https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1112). With the work-arounds discussed in #1112 (namely, not touching the firefox font configuration), the Debian page (and others!) prints "correctly" - at least, spaces between words appear. But the problem I am report here relates to the headers and footers: - when I print the first time, headers and footers appear OK: the font is "serif", spacing is fine, numbers appear (e.g. "1 of 2" in the footer), the date is in the lower-right corner - but when I print a second time, all of a sudden the headers and footers are screwed: font becomes "sans-serif", spaces are lost, numbers disappear (" of " only), no date in lower-right corner. This is using Xprint 1.0alpha1 (debian 0.1.0.alpha1-4), firefox 1.0 (1.0+dfsg.1-1). Drew
Closing WONTFIX because nobody cares about Xprint. Reopen if you plan to address this bug.
