If fading is turned on with fade or animations plugin there is a big delay (depends on the selected duration of fading animation) before faded window displays background color selected from gdm theme. For example it displays popup window with white colored background and after a second or so when fading animation completes it is showing the color of the background from gdm theme. I was wondering if fading animation could include gdm theme selected background color from the start...

Xorg xserver: 1.6.1.901
xf86-video-intel: 2.7.1
mesa: 7.4.2

With mesa and intel driver from git problem remains...

I've just compiled xorg-server 1.6.2 and the problem with fading is gone, i think it's because of this:

dri2: support glXWaitGL & glXWaitX by copying fake front to front and
