[Problem]
Two horizontal black stripes (border shadows?) shown where top/bottom of the new login box was after login.

[Original Description]
since a few days my desktop shows the two horizontal black stripes until the icons are drawn on the desktop. These stripes mark the upper and lower end of the login box, and once the login box has disappeared, these stripes remain on the screen.

This is on an Acer Aspire One 110 netbook with 1024x600 screen.
