These LCDs have a problem where they cannot handle the full dotclock rate of "full" resolution (1600x1200, 24bit, 60Hz), so they need to use a reduced-blanking mode to reduce the dotclock, and then 1600x1200 works. Without this, the user sees constant blanking/flickering.
