Description Jeff Vaughan 2005-01-27 09:08:05 UTC
running xorgcfg consistantly creates an xorg.conf.new with the monitor bock:

Section "Monitor"
  ...
        HorizSync 943280960.0 - 0.0
        HorizSync 30.0 - 107.0
        VertRefresh 875771200.0 - 875643200.0
  ...

The second HorizSync line is correct. A vertical refresh of 50 - 160 works. X
will not start without editing to start with the values greated by xorgcfg.

I'm running gentoo linux with a gforce 5200 and the nv driver.

The incorrect HorizSync & VertRefresh printing were fixed in Xorg 6.8.2.
Closing as fixed - reopen if you still see it on 6.8.2 or newer.
