Created attachment 29757 [details] xorg log Whenever I move a window into which is rendered with Xv outside screen boundary or move a window so that it partially overlaps the Xv window, the whole video window (or sometimes parts of it) go black. If I move the window fast on top of it, the the video blinks between black and frame. This happens only without compositing. I thought this was a feature but was convinced by Alex that it's a bug. While this is with KMS, I've always (from the point when r6xx/r7xx EXA/Xv was originally written) had the same results without KMS too. The card is rv670 on Fedora Rawhide (so pretty much bleeding edge stuff from git). X.org log as an attachment, please request for additional information if anyone has any ideas.
Is this still an issue with newer versions of the driver?
I could actually point out what just came apparent on the channel that this only happens in mplayer. Seems my original report was missing that important bit of information. But yeah, it still happens here. Also clarification: The mplayer window doesn't stay black. It just just goes completely black for a moment and then comes back again. There's a definite causality involved. This also happens when moving the mplayer window itself.
Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases.
