Description Victor Shkamerda 2005-02-01 23:15:17 UTC
Description of problem:

On Fedora Core 3 textures sometime disappear when lament 3D screensaver is running.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

xorg-x11-6.8.1-12.FC3.21
xscreensaver-4.18-4
kernel-2.6.10-1.741_FC3

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. on a PC with i815E chipset
2. cd /usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver
3. ./lament

Actual results:

When the cube is beginning to transform the affected textures will disappear

Expected results:

The textures should be transformed as needed

Additional info:

This doesn't happen on i865GV chipset and it didn't happened with previous
versions of Fedora AFAIK. This happens with stock FC3 xorg and kernel as well,
so the bug was there from the beginning

try upping the videoram to 32768
Comment 5 Victor Shkamerda 2005-02-16 22:09:26 UTC
Neither 32768 nor 49152 don't work. And I see no reason why it should, when it
worked fine with any sensible amount of VideoRam in previous versions.

The bug priority was upgraded (P2->high) with the bugzilla configuration change.
I'm Changing the priority back to the normal one.
Sorry for the spam.

Does this problem still exist with the latest driver now?
Comment 8 Gordon Jin 2007-09-07 19:11:25 UTC
I'm closing this very aging bug. Feel free to reopen if new driver still has this issue.
