Description Randy Kramer 2005-02-02 10:50:54 UTC
Please incorporate a standard set of widgets in the X server, to minimize
bandwidth, etc. associated with transmitting widgets from the client.

There may not be a set of widgets sufficiently standardized at this point in
time, so the effort will need to expect some development / evolution.

Eventually, I'd hope these would be standardized and ubiquitous enough that
they will be "embedded" in various processors (ROM or whatever).

This has been discussed for some time and the general consensus was to not do this.
