Description Michael Tokarev 2009-10-18 07:12:53 UTC
When switching to radeon KMS (2.6.32-rc3) the screen fonts in console does not work properly. Namely, international (cyrillic in this case) chars gets drawn as white question marks on red background (or black on white background, ie inverted), instead of grey chars on black background. This happens only when kernel is 64bit and userspace is 32bit, booting into 32bits kernel (of the same version) fixes the issue. Tried different fonts but the effect is the same, only kernel bitness changes (and fixes) it.

Thanks!

It appears that in 2.6.32-rc6 the issue is gone. So I'm closing this bug.
