Description Matti Aarnio 2009-11-02 14:07:03 UTC
With release 1.6 of xkeyboard-config, the system is now producing layouts that have tons of fancy accent characters, and what not semi useful, but somehow several characters important to a Perl programmer have become very hard to enter by a Finnish native using Swe/Fin layouts:

  - Backslash
  - Tilde
  - At
  - Hash-sign
  - Half of brackets and braces

Several of them and others have moved to surprising locations.

I would like to know, what needs to be done to restore my sanity and permit me to work on "bits and bytes" oriented codes - oh, and writing email addresses!

This system is Fedora 12 beta with xkeyboard-config-1.6-3.fc12.noarch.rpm
package applied to it.
