Hi! I'm using xserver 1.7.1, mesa git, libdrm git, xf86-video-ati git and linux-2.6.32-rc7+drm-next. The OS is gentoo amd64 and kms is on. Every time I launch demo5 or I play the level Silver City, after few seconds the game crashes (X crashes too with xserver 1.6). drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info. First, thanks for good testcase ! did bt: __assert_fail rcommonFlushCmdBuf radeonFlush radeon_firevertices radeonScissor _mesa_set_scissor _mesa_Scissor Seems we assert when we overfill the buffer in radeonFlush - it emits dirty state ontop af what's already there. I doubt we need that state emited at all, but this is grey area for me. I saw some patches from osiris which remove some flush/emit calls. If those patches land they might fix this bug also

This should be fixed in the 7.7 branch of mesa. Can you verify?
Yes, it works. But I have *lots* of problems with kde4 desktop effects now :-( I also upgraded to the latest 2.6.32-rc8-git + drm-next git.

Where did you find mesa git packages for debian? O_O I tried with lucid xorg-edgers packages but it crashed every time I launched a 3d app...

Before cca 4-5 weeks I couldn't play nexuiz (or anything, because low fps) and I wasn't able to set any of the graphics settings (cause app crashing). But before cca 2-3 weeks situation changed. I can play nexuiz with medium/high details in windowed 1280x800 mode and I can play HoN in FullHD with medium details without lags. I have only one issue, this bug.

The game reported errors on piece-o-cake - R_Water_ProcessPlanes: Error: texture creation failed! Turned off r_water. R_LoadTexture: bogus texture size (0x0x1x32bppx1sides = 0 bytes) also occur with swrast[g]
It doesn't crash anymore, but the warnings in piece-o-cake remains (and you can't see the water). RV670 with R600g, 2.6.38-rc4, xorg-server-1.9.4, mesa git, libdrm git, xf86-video-ati git, pageflipping on, colortiling on, swapbufferwaits off. Anyway the performance is impressive: 120 fps in openarena@2560x1600 and very high quality, 65 fps in nexuiz demo5@2560x1600 and medium quality; 58 fps in demo1. We just need S3TC :(
Many fix were commited, closing reopen if it's still an issue with r600g from mesa 8.0 or newer.
