Created attachment 31278 [details] relevant part of syslog Hi, X crashes (a few times per day), mostly when switching virtual desktops on NV4B nouveau. I run debian testing with nouveau git kernel and git xf86-video-nouveau from the latest git. Most times the screen freezes and there is no respondence from mouse-clicks or keyboard, but I can move the mouse. Sysrq works. Sometimes X just crashes and restarts. I did not observe this in October, so some early November commits (unfortunately I did not check which one) must be the responsible. I attach syslog and Xorg.log, if more is needed or testing required please let me know. Thanks for your great work, cheers Andi

Created attachment 31413 [details] dmesg (no crash so far) Hi, here is dmesg without crash so far. I'll try to bisec git as soon as time allows (earliest next week...). Thanks, Andi
Hi, I found a bug in my script preparing the kernel package. This bug resulted in not installing the latest nouveau git kernel. So I ran an older kernel with a new xf86-video-nouveau git and drm git tree. After I fixed that, anything seems to work as perfect as before, it never crashed since three days now. So probably this bug can be closed. Sorry for the noise and the false alarm. Thanks again for your effort. Andi
