applet not displayed with OpenGL.

Using 2.1.1-3-1ubuntu2~karmic from the stable ppa , and Kernel 2.6.32-6 from the Lucid repos[since KMS and OpenGL works better with this kernel].

When running cairo-dock in the openGL mode , the switcher applet is not displayed [attached screenshot]

But the applet works fine the desktop numbers are displayed but the only problem is that the switcher is not displayed.
When i use the non-OpenGL version , there is no such problem.

     Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Device [1025:0094]

Cairo-dock authors mention that :
Switcher applet doesn't use the pbuffers, but a mere copy of the
cairo surface to the opengl texture.

Invisible Icons with OpenGL

Hi, when using the free radeon driver that comes with Ubuntu 10.04.1 (for my ATI 4850) some icons are invisible when using the Open GL version of Cairo Dock (see attached screenshot).
It seems I'm not the only one having this problem, see e.g.:
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/581350
* http://www.glx-dock.org/bg_topic.php?t=4409
* http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1317992
It's really annoying... Does this have something to do with the driver as some people suggested? I posted here because I thought it might have sth. to do with the invisible switcher applet... or is it a new bug(?)

PS: Thanks for the great free driver!

Is this still an issue?
Comment 8 Fabio Pedretti 2014-10-19 12:08:02 UTC
No feedback after 4+ years, closing. Feel free to reopen if the problem still happens with mesa 10.3.1 or later.
