Description Robert Huitl 2005-02-18 07:16:57 UTC
Usually (without GTK-Qt), X-Chat sets the foreground color for users who are
marked as away to gray. This does not work with GTK-Qt, it uses the same color
as it does for any user in the list.
Comment 1 Robert Huitl 2005-02-18 07:17:39 UTC
GTK-Qt-Version: 0.6-r1 (Gentoo)

Comment 2 Henrik Sankala 2005-10-08 03:05:57 UTC
Maybe there is a more general problem with font colors? I have noticed that the
share-ratio in BitTornado always uses black text when using gtk-qt, while it
goes from red to yellow to green when using the default gtk theme.

versions
--------
gtk-qt: 0.6
gtk+: 2.6.8
qt: 3.3.4
kde: 3.4.1

Allow custom foreground colors in listviews, treeviews, etc.

I had some time today, and created this patch. It works for me, please test.
Comment 4 Henrik Sankala 2005-10-09 04:07:24 UTC
I tried the patch, didn't make any difference in BitTornado. I checked xchat
too, and I noticed that I can change the font colors even without this patch.

"X-Chat sets the foreground color for users _who_are_marked_as_away_ to gray."
Comment 6 Henrik Sankala 2005-10-09 08:44:12 UTC
It sure does.
Comment 7 Robert Huitl 2005-10-09 14:43:53 UTC
Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing:

Without the patch, "doubleu", "ds", "EnterUserName" and "hawkes" were black
like the other names.
Comment 8 Henrik Sankala 2005-10-10 09:58:40 UTC
Yup, we are talking about the same thing. This is what x-chat (2.4.5 btw) looks
like for me (no patches):

Maybe this is theme related or something, I couldn't figure out how to make the
background striped like yours.
Comment 9 Robert Huitl 2005-10-10 16:39:08 UTC
This setting is in the KDE control panel in Appearance -> Colors. I'm running
X-Chat 2.4.1. GTK+ 2.6.4, though.

Thanks, this is now fixed in CVS.
