Description Chris Lee 2005-03-07 14:55:35 UTC
This is a long-running issue, one which I first noticed approximately one year
ago. I arrived in New Hampshire, and, while I noted that the scenery was nice
and in fact it has turned out to be fine, there are not nearly enough cool
people to hang out with.

ajax and daniels should move here. It may not stop the place from sucking, but
at least I'd have people to share in my misery with. Also, daniels should give
me $20 (USD, not that silly AUD play money.)
Comment 1 Daniel Stone 2005-03-07 19:14:02 UTC
Unfortunately, I'm in the middle of moving around Melbourne, and I'm far happier
here with life here than I was with the culture and lifestyle in the US.
Especially New Hampshire. Assigning to ajax for his action, because I'm sure as
hell not moving.

(PS: If you want your $20, I can sort that out too. But your currency sucks now
too. GBP is the only halfway decent currency left.)
Comment 2 Daniel Stone 2005-03-16 00:56:09 UTC
Oh, and Chris, you guys totally owe me $us20 for the rebate on my crappy PCMCIA
wireless card anyway. So let's call it even, yeah?
Comment 3 Adam Jackson 2005-05-01 21:51:29 UTC
i'm not moving to .nh.us until clee stops recommending hardware that i later buy
and get ulcers from. i'm far too impressionable.
Comment 4 Daniel Stone 2005-06-13 08:51:00 UTC
You know that you guys could move to Melbourne, right?

  * I've had a 100% success rate with LCDs I've bought here.
  * The legal drinking age is not stupid.
  * It's a very nice city.
  * Broadband is available.
  * It's happening, and exciting. Good record stores also.
  * I'm in it.

What's not to love?

Proposed actions: ajax, clee -> Melbourne, AU; then RESOLVED/NOTOURBUG.
Comment 5 Daniel Stone 2005-07-14 13:01:29 UTC
Chris, ever considered hopping over from NH to MA?
Comment 6 Daniel Stone 2005-09-15 22:40:42 UTC
ajax, dude, at least NH whips WV.
Comment 7 Adam Jackson 2005-09-19 14:36:19 UTC
[REDACTED]
<@ajax> so i don't want to hear any more shit about wv being unliveable
<@clee> man, that's so much better than this place
<@clee> this place is a hellhole
* clee spits on Nashua

updating summary accordingly.
Comment 8 Daniel Stone 2005-09-20 08:32:11 UTC
yes, but mentioning that the world is spherical, and that the sun does not, in
fact, orbit around the earth, won't get you lynched in new england. it's touch
and go south of the dixie-jethro line or whatever it is that divides
civilisation from the dirrrty south.
Comment 9 Daniel Stone 2005-11-21 09:16:17 UTC
unfortunately, further discussion on this bug is under embargo for a while.
moving out of needinfo, as we have aaaallllllll the info we need.
Comment 10 Adam Jackson 2005-12-01 12:42:27 UTC
back to the original summary. wv is in fact a rather nice place to visit, and i
won't be in it much longer. clee, on the other hand, is still screwed.
Comment 11 Daniel Stone 2005-12-02 07:22:05 UTC
< ajax> would have too, except west virginia is lame and decided i needed a
five-plus-hour power outage

*ahem*
Comment 12 Daniel Stone 2005-12-26 13:58:48 UTC
we need a PENDINGUPLOAD status
Comment 13 Daniel Stone 2006-03-05 22:08:48 UTC
ajax is not in WV, clee is not in NH, I'm not in Melbourne.  the first two win;
I'm not so sure.
Comment 14 Chris Lee 2006-03-10 06:11:19 UTC
For the record, Palo Alto sucks a hell of a lot less than Nashua.

I'm indeed quite satisfied with the fix for this bug.
Comment 15 Daniel Stone 2006-03-10 06:30:16 UTC
dude, if you stay in cali, I'm opening another bug. SEVERE FAILURE TO FULFILL
PROMISES.
