Description Cosimo Cecchi 2010-03-31 07:06:41 UTC
Debian's Synaptic has a cool option which allows you to permanently ignore updates for a single package. It recently occurred to me my 3G modem doesn't work with new ModemManager/NetworkManager packages, so while the bug is fixed, I'd like to stay with an older version of those packages. Currently I either have to remember unchecking the updates from the software update UI manually every time or I have resort to command line and use `yum update --exclude foo bar`.

Such an option would also prevent the update icon from appearing in the systray if the ignored packages are the only updates available.
