Can you get some debug logs please? See http://live.gnome.org/Empathy/Debugging for information on how to obtain these logs.

You attached Empathy logs. Please attach butterfly logs -- change the combobox in the top left corner of the debug window from "Empathy" to "butterfly".

 hi

- it does not show butterfly , the other one is mission-control

hi

how do you do it with the GUI for butterfly ?

thanks
Comment 7 Jonny Lamb 2010-05-03 05:55:35 UTC
butterfly will exit five seconds after it fails to connect. You can either try the "old" way of obtaining logs in the link I've already given you or just make sure the debug dialog is open before you choose the Available status, so that when it fails to connect, butterfly will still be in the combobox.
