On my N900, telepathy-haze was using all available CPU time as long as there was a network connection. I have temporarily worked around the issue by disabling my MSN IM account. Is there anything I can do to help provide the necessary information to isolate the cause of this issue?

You could get logs from Haze as per <http://telepathy.freedesktop.org/wiki/Debugging>. It might also be worth installing strace and attaching it to Haze when it's using all available CPU in case it's spinning on something.

I've tried reproducing this, but it's more inconsistent than it originally seemed. I had this problem for a couple of days with MSN, then not with MSN but Twitter. In the case of Twitter, it seemed to be because it was going back through my history to find replies. Not sure what the equivalent would be with MSN, but I'm wondering if there was just some issue that day with MSN (saw a post from someone using Pidgin complaining about MSN around the same time, which seemed curious).

I suggest you just close this issue for now.

Fair enough.
