Description james henders 2010-05-07 12:37:25 UTC
The developers think this is a "feature". They have taken leave of their senses, it is obviously, unquestionably, a bold faced bug if one ever existed.

This has to be fixed, in order to maintain the sucess of the Linux operating system.

Very often things glitch / freeze / seize up / die etc and the only way to safely get out of it is to Control + Alt + Backspace.

What possible motivation could there have been ??

The word on the forums is that the workaround code will cause data loss, this is unacceptable.

Put it back by default, no excuses, no buts.
