Description Rüdiger Schiller 2010-05-28 02:44:31 UTC
ICQ is working fine with Maemo5 PR1.2 but it is not showing within any context for new messages.

Step by step,

ICQ "Online":
Open "Chat & Conversations"
Tap "New IM"
ICQ-only contacts do not show
ICQ-field *does not show* up when tapping contact who is visible due to other services

ICQ "Offline" but others online:
Open "Chat & Conversations"
Tap "New IM"
ICQ-only contacts do not show
ICQ-field *does show* up when tapping contact who is visible due to other services

this happens with versions from extras and testing (0.7+0.8? devel I did not check)

Maybe this is not a pure ICQ issue, people start telling that MSN is missing too no matter what plugin is used (std, haze, pecan).
I just checked for myself: no msn (haze) in "New IM" either.
The msn (without suffix) has port 0 and entering the right doesn't help it getting signed in... (means I cant test as it isn't working for me)

adding skype, I guess this is a more general problem at the moment

I think this is a regression in the messaging UI, triggered by Haze not implementing the Capabilities interface. It should be fixed in telepathy-haze 0.3.5.
