noise4 function from standard Mesa Demo "noise" is not working. It's rendered only as a brown rectangle.

To my knowledge no hardware supports it, and I was told that the noise function isn't implemented even in proprietary drivers, so we do the same in Mesa.

There are other techniques for generating random numbers in shaders (used by the game industry). So called noise textures are the most popular.

Closing as WONTFIX.

Yes, I think that there is no hardware to support noise function too, but I considered that it will be implemented as software feature. Ok, the bug is closed.
