I wasn't able to open vBios.dump so i couldn't copy into attachments.txt

Bug description:

Linux could starts only on safety mode:(
The resolution sucks :(
when 3d engine start the pc blocks :(

System environment:

-- chipset: i915
-- system architecture: 64-bit
-- kernel: 2.6.32-22-generic
-- Linux distribution: ubuntu 10.4 LTS
-- Machine or mobo model: notebook HP g62 120 EL

I read something around but nothing really fixing.
I hope u could help me to fix that.
I'm quite disappointed 'cause i bought an intel graphic card not one unknown and i'd expect it was linux friendly.I was wrong.
Help me please!!:)

Could you try a newer kernel like 2.6.34? Many patches for hd graphics have been added after 2.6.32.

Pietro, the stock drivers distributed with ubuntu 10.4 are very old. The starting point when testing graphics on Ubuntu is to install the latest drivers from the ppa:xorg-edgers.
