Wohoo! Seems to be working fine now, using git master 70b27be923bcce4da171fb7154bb1df20bd85f87 Now only 24016 needs to be fixed, so the menus don't need to be navigated blindly.
The bug 24016 is filed against Intel. Can you file a new bug against r500?

Fair enough, there is no need to file it again.
Just FYI it was the FBO patch from bug 29116 that fixed the crash, so I guess it isn't really fixed until the the patch has been commited.
