backtrace of crash

The Spore Creature Creator game (running in Wine) segfaults on start:

state_tracker/st_manager.c:475: st_context_notify_invalid_framebuffer: Assertion `stfb && stfb->iface == stfbi' failed.

It works (or at least starts) if software mode is forced.

Doesn't seem to be a regression, as it doesn't work on the 7.8 branch either.

System environment:
-- system architecture: 32-bit
-- Linux distribution: Debian unstable
-- GPU: RV570
-- Model: Asus EAX1950Pro 256MB

This could be the same problem as bug 28477.

I am having the same problem with Panzers II wine game. It worked fine some time ago, let me know if I have to bisect it.
Comment 4 Fabio Pedretti 2010-10-12 02:55:22 UTC
This issue is fixed for me in current master.
Comment 5 Sven Arvidsson 2010-10-12 12:02:57 UTC
Confirmed. The crash seems to be gone now.
Comment 6 Marek Olšák 2010-10-12 15:56:48 UTC
I guess you guys are all running Mesa master. Could you please test the 7.9 branch as well?

It's fixed in 7.9 branch and also runs better here. With master I am indeed getting this:
