Description Oliver Braun 2005-04-07 14:07:50 UTC
The OpenOffice.org mime types defined in freedesktop.org.xml don't specify the
mime magic. Please apply the attached patch to add them.

I just stumbled over the problem with OOo 1.x Documents & Templates having the
same mime magic. Should the templates become a sub-class of the documents ?

Bug 3145 contained information that seemed to match the magic used in the patch. I've asked Caolan McNamara to double-check that it was spec'ed to have that string at that position in the file. If you're able to provide proof that this is the case, please feel free to add it to this bug.

Oops, I didn't notice this bug so I filed bug #10100.
Although, my patch (about the OpenDocument mimetypes only) is a bit better, as the magic matching is quite more precise (exact sequence of matching within the ZIP archive).

I'm marking this one as a duplicate of bug 10100 since Pino's patch is indeed better.
