[drm] Used old pci detect: framebuffer loaded
agpgart: Found an AGP 2.0 compliant device at 0000:00:00.0.
agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:00:00.0 into 1x mode
agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:01:00.0 into 1x mode

Error Here:

Can you try adding this option to the Savage device section in your xorg.conf:

Option "DmaMode" "None"

Does that fix (work around) your problem?
Comment 4 Vanquisher 2005-04-09 07:49:40 UTC
Yes that workaround fixed my problem, im curious though what caused that, is it
supersavage chip related or driver related?

The problem is that we don't know how to use DMA on SuperSavages. Vertex DMA
used to lock up on them, so it was disabled. When I implemented command DMA I
was hoping that it would work better. But it looks like I'll have to disable
that too on SuperSavages. The sad thing is that we sacrifice quite a bit of
performance this way.
Comment 6 Alex Deucher 2005-04-11 07:09:48 UTC
I suppose we should turn off DMA on supersavages until we figure out how it works.

I just committed this to Xorg CVS, so DRI should work out of the box again
without locking up on SuperSavages. Closing this bug now.
