With Mesa 7.9, on r200 chipset (Radeon 9100 IGP), when using gnome-shell 2.91.0 / clutter 1.4 (or 1.5.x), I'm getting :

File r200_swtcl.c function r200_swtcl_flush line 309
 Rendering was 7 commands larger than predicted size. We might overflow  command buffer.

whatever the video memory size (up to 128MB)

this is with libdrm 2.4.22 and kernel 2.6.34 or 2.6.36-rc6

confirming issue with 2.6.36 final kernel, libdrm 2.4.22 and gnome-shell 2.29.1 / clutter 1.5.x

Is this still an issue with mesa from git master or the 7.9 branch?  This patch specifically:
