Description Victor NOEL 2010-10-07 02:01:48 UTC
Hi,

I noticed a strange bug when using xsetwacom to set the Button1 of my tablet.
I tried with the last git version of xf86-input-wacom (78e9559).
My tablet is an old Graphire usb :
Bus 008 Device 008: ID 056a:0010 Wacom Co., Ltd Graphire.

If I set it to a wrong value like "foobar", there is no problem,
if I set it to 1 or 2, the expected behaviour is realised,

but if I set it to "Button 1", then it stop working to draw and drag things:
I can just click, but if I stay pressed it is like I stop clicking, so I can't draw or drag.

Worst, after this happen, even if I set it to 1, it does not come back to a working state!!

I've had the same issue on Pardus and Chakra.

Tablet is an Intuos 3 - usbid 056a:00b1.

If you require any tests or additional information let me know and I'll get it done.

Cheers,

Alan.

Doing some bugzilla cleanup.

There are two parts to this bug:
1. "Button 1" clicks but won't drag
2. Resetting to '1' does not fix the results of #1

Part one is correct behavior, though perhaps unexpected. To do a half-click (i.e., just a button press with no immediate release) you want to use the action "button +1" instead.

Part two is not correct behavior, though I cannot replicate this it with recent versions of xf86-input-wacom. It was likely corrected without updating this bug. I'm closing this bug as WORKSFORME; please re-open if you continue to experience it.
