Description Paul de Vrieze 2005-04-22 02:53:47 UTC
There is some kind of regression in the matrox driver that makes my screen all
garble up. The refresh frequency is low (as is the resolution) and it there seem
to be aliassing effects going on. When X is closed down the console also gets
garble, fixed in a low refresh rate and with characters duplicated and removed.
I'll attach the log. The card is a g550. The monitor is a IIyama Vision master
pro 413.

As visible from the logs, there is also a DDC regression
Comment 4 Adam Jackson 2005-04-23 12:19:36 UTC
is 6.8.99.3 any better? i know of at least one DDC fix in HEAD.
Comment 5 Adam Jackson 2005-04-23 12:24:05 UTC
my fault, didn't read closely enough, 6.8.99.3 is the broken one. oops.

could you try backing out this patch?

Comment 6 Paul de Vrieze 2005-04-24 02:10:47 UTC
I've only got console access to this machine during work hours. (It's my office
machine). I'll try to revert this as soon as possible. That's probably tuesday.
Comment 7 Olivier Baudron 2005-08-12 06:54:31 UTC

persists.
Comment 10 Paul de Vrieze 2006-04-23 06:15:49 UTC
The problem is gone in the 7.0 release. I'm sorry, I just recently updated to
the 7.0 release.
