Works for me. Can you attach a screenshot and say which poppler version are you using?

Can you please try with Okular to see if the Splash backend works for you or it fails too?
Comment 6 Andrew Hurst 2010-10-26 13:02:22 UTC
Gentoo's ebuild for Okular seems to only use poppler.

So? You report a bug against poppler and i ask you to test a program that uses poppler, what's the thing you do not understand?
Comment 8 Andrew Hurst 2010-10-26 16:59:38 UTC
Sorry Albert,
you seemed to be saying that the reason to test Okular is that it uses Splash as a pdf renderer instead of Poppler.

I read that Okular can use either Splash or Poppler, and further digging finds that gentoo's Okular ebuild does not mention Splash, therefore we'd just be testing another front end to Poppler.

Is there any need to get snappy at me? You can pose the question without implying I'm mentally deficient.
Are you a developer yourself, or a bug wrangler, out of interest?

Anyway it turns out the bug was a gentoo problem, and fixed by recompiling cairo, poppler, and epdfview in a magic order. Closing
Comment 9 Andrew Hurst 2010-10-26 17:03:10 UTC
Ok I didn't understand that splash is part of poppler
Comment 10 Albert Astals Cid 2010-10-27 00:49:58 UTC
To fulfill your interest, i'm the maintainer of poppler.

Sorry if you felt offended by my questions, they in no way were meant to be offensive. You shouldn't think people are trying to ridiculize you or make fun out of you in every sentence you read in the internet.
Comment 11 Andrew Hurst 2010-10-27 02:32:11 UTC
I misunderstood Albert,
no offence taken.
My bad.

Thanks for taking the time.
