Hi, I'm having problems with strange window fragments occuring in xorg-server-1.9. It's hard to describe by words, so here are two videos to demonstrate what's going on: http://www.timohummel.com/temp/i3-problem-1.ogv http://www.timohummel.com/temp/i3-problem-2.ogv Sometimes during work, a rectangular area appears which seems to be a left-over from a previous window. It sometimes keeps its contents, sometimes it is filled with anything which moves over it. Despite the video's name, it is most probably NOT a bug in the i3 window manager because if I re-start i3 in-place, the fragment doesn't go away. xwininfo doesn't work on the fragment; it always returns information of the window which is "behind" (lower z-index?) of the fragment. I'm running kernel 2.6.35 with tuxonice-patches and currently nvidia's binary driver. I also had this problem with the nouveau-driver so it's most likely a problem in xorg-1.9. xorg-1.9 was compiled from source on gentoo. Thanks, Timo
Reminds me of bug 22566.
Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please file a new report if you continue to experience issues with a current server.
