Description Jonathan Ernst 2010-10-29 12:15:21 UTC
The Samsung-U5 mpi specifies MTP as AccessProtocol.

AFAIK MTP devices are not part of m-p-i but libmtp ; but this device can also work as a mass storage device (depending on the region code).

According to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/media-player-info/+bug/478789 Martin has such a device so he might want to check it yourself.

Shouldn't we replace the AccessProtocol by AccessProtocol=storage? If we do and the device is in MTP mode will it be handled correctly by libmtp and friends ?

Right, it works fine with "storage". The U5 can do both modes.

Fixed in trunk, thanks!
