-use mplayser wit vaapi support to play using opengl renderer:
 ./mplayer -va vaapi -va vaapi:gl /my/video/file
--comments:
Tested using Mplayer/ verified in XBMC: Fluent playback using normal renderer, stuttering playback using open GL renderer. OpenGL redererer using 'texture from pixmap' works fluently

Will you please try the latest intel-vaapi/mplayer-vaapi and then see whether the issue still exists?

Thanks.
