This branch makes the Salut tests work rather better; it also runs a couple of extra tests if you're not running another copy of Salut, which caught a regression in FT from iChat, dating back to 2008 (afaics).

I'm going to rebase my contact-caps branch onto this one too, because there seems little point in developing with unreliable tests.
