Description mehmet.giritli 2010-12-08 00:49:22 UTC
Hi,

I was completely unsuccessful with the video chat in the previous versions of papyon+butterfly. So yesterday I updated these to to the latest versions, papyon 0.5.4 and butterfly 0.5,15, and gave it another try.

Now I can see the other side but my webcam stopped working right at the beginning of the session (initially when it is trying for establishing the connection, I could see my webcam working and my live image being displayed). We could also hear each other. So the audio seemed to be working ok. The only missing thing is that the other side could not see my webcam.

In addition to that, the quality of the conference was very low. It got very frequent freezes of the audio and video. The client on the other side is a windows XP machine, with the latest version of MSN. To verify things, I rebooted my machine into Windows and tried video conferencing from there. The quality of the video conference was much better (and of course, the other side could see me).

Unfortunately I forgot to save the log file. Next time I will save and attach it here.
